With apologies to Eminem this is my latest glider song parady.
Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity
To seize every pinenut you ever wanted-One moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's pee on his sweater already, sugar glider confetti
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready
To give pinenuts, but he keeps on forgettin
Where he put them down, the whole glider crowd goes so loud
He opens his pinenut container, but the nuts won't come out
He's choking, how every gliders' poking him now
The clock's run out, time's up over, ambushed!
Snap back to reality, Oh there goes gravity
Oh, there goes the pinenuts, he dropped them
He's so mad, but he won't give up that
Easy, no
He won't have it , he knows there’s still hope
It don't matter, he's a glider pope
He knows that, but he's broke
He's gotta get more nuts that he knows
When he goes back to the store, that's when it's
Back to the floor again yo
This whole rhapsody
He better go capture those gliders and hope they don't pass him
You better lose yourself in the pinenut, the moment
You own it, you better never let it go
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance too slow
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime yo
The glider's escaping, through this hole that it's gaping
This pinenut is mine for the taking
Make me king, as we move toward a, new world order
A normal life is boring, but gliderdom's close to post mortem
So the soap opera is told and unfolds
I suppose it's old partner', but the beat goes on
Da da dum da dum da da

I think the lack of war protest both in music and in general has to do with the way our culture has changed. This sounds like a bad joke...Have you heard about the geneticist who designed a bug that eats wood and craps oil? Truth is stranger than fiction. My biggest problem with scientists is the complete lack of concern about whether or not we SHOULD do something just because we can. What consequences would a wood eating bug that craps petroleum have? It sounds like madness to me. Imagine if these bugs get loose, reproduce at an alarming rate and devastate fruit trees, virgin forests, national parks, or state parks. What then? We create a bug that eats the bug that gives off radiation when it dies? How about a bird or bat that eats this oil-flatuator and becomes some nightmare from a 60's Japanese monster movie. Maybe it's time to stop listening to morons like George Bush and make a real effort to establish on a national scale hydrogen or water burning vehicles, solar power, wind power and water power. Maybe we don't need to buy Mangos imported from South America or Africa and can eat local produce. Maybe we can stop driving Hummers and move toward fuel efficiency. Maybe we can work at home to conserve fuel. How about growing your own gardens and fruit trees? Genetic research is a great tool if used properly. It should be used to fight diseases and eliminate viruses and harmful bacteria, not to develop the latest fad quick fix to economic troubles we created for ourselves because we don't take control of our government.
Igor Larinov has been one of my favorite NHL hockey players since I first saw him play in the Olympics for the Red Army team. The "Professor" never gave up the puck and made brilliant passes that lead the Red Wings to muliple Stanley Cup wins. Larnionov was also one of the best conditioned athletes in hockey. I still remember the playoff overtime game when Larionov, well past 40 years old scored the winning goal sometime around 3 AM. It woke me up and thankfully the re-plays showed what a great goal it was and how ultimately he was one of the few players with the energy to make a move and score. This movie is about 2 hours long. It covers universal myth, elite power structures and the 9/11 cover up. Watch at your own risk. I highly recommend it. Grasping at the Wind
A Firm Hold Escapes my Clutch Time is Elusive For whatever reason my adobe flash player stopped working at work yesterday. I've installed the latest version but it doesn't seem to work. I'd blame it on Bill Gates (A pox on him and his bloody empire!!) but I loaded Service Packet 3 after I started having problems with Flash...now I can't use some elements of websites at work or see youtube videos. How dreary! If you know what might be the problem let me know.
Merle Haggard once wrote a song called Rainbow Stew. One line went, "When they find out how to burn water, and the gasoline power is gone, when an airplane flies without any fuel and the sunlight heats our home, one of these days when the air clears up and the sun comes shining through, I'll be drinking free bubbalub and eating that rainbow stew. Today I turned in my multi-paged plea for acceptance into the world of education. I talked about Ginott, Glasser and Mann, Gardner was mentioned...give me a hand! I made my case that I need to teach, I hope it didn't sound like I was starting to preach. Knowledge drives me, not bureaucracy! I just want to help push the kids to think for themselves. In a world of standardized tests which emphasize memorization over thinking we have a long way to swing that pendulum in order to get education back on its feet. Don't blame the teachers! Look at the politicians, look at yourselves, then if those elements seem to be in order then ask the teacher what is wrong.
Okay, I admit it. I'm lazy. I'd like to win Vince McMahon's millions and am even willing to submit to an advertising blitz if I win. However, these guys are working WAY TOO HARD to get rich! Read below: |
